Leeds band Battle Lines are set to release a new 7" on April 15 via No Sleep (pre-order), the label home to State Faults, Sainthood Reps, and (formerly) La Dispute. But unlike their labelmates, Battle Lines draw from dream pop and synth pop that recalls the sensuality of the new Warpaint album more than anything by La Dispute. And hey, if Carpark can put out an emo album, then No Sleep can put out Battle Lines. The single's A-side, "Colonies," makes its premiere in this post. Check it out below.
The band will be crossing the Atlantic to play SXSW in Austin this March. No other North American dates were announced, but maybe we'll get lucky and they'll squeeze something in before or after. All dates (the rest are in the UK), are listed, along with the new song stream, below...
