Owen Pallett's new album, In Conflict, will be out in May but you can hear a couple tracks -- both of which feature Brian Eno -- now. "The Riverbed" comes via a music video that stars Pallett's uncle, Jim, as a man out on a date in L.A. Look for Owen, briefly, as "Jerk #4." The NY Times also just premiered a lyric video for "On a Path" and both of those are watchable below.

Meanwhile, Pallett will be in Los Angeles this weekend for Sunday night's Academy Awards ceremony where his and Will Butler's score for Spike Jonze's Her is up for an Oscar. Best of luck, guys. The Oscars air at 7 PM EST on ABC.

And if you want to see Pallett live, his May tour with Doldrums starts in NYC with two shows. Tickets to Glasslands (5/13) and Bowery Ballroom (5/14) are still available.

This sounds like some of John Cale's work, especially the vocals. The Uncle in Riverbed kind of looks like him too.
