Chasse-Galerie (via)

Invisible Oranges is pleased to present an evening of black metal featuring New Jersey's Abazagorath, Quebec's Chasse-Galerie, plus One Master, Grue and NYC up-and-comers Vorde on May 2 at The Acheron. The show is being presented in conjunction with Signature Riff, the folks responsible for the upcoming (and incredible) Martyrdoom Festival at Saint Vitus from June 27 through July 1.

Abazagorath draws from a thrashy black metal palette, and though we last caught them on camera in 2011, the band's a regular in NYC and has provided support for the likes of Revenge and Horna. A rarer occurrence is an appearance from Quebec's Chasse-Galerie -- the show will be the band's first NYC show. Chasse-Galerie delivers an atmospheric yet punishing brand of black metal, one that's heavily informed by melody but never lays off the ga s-- not to be missed. Listen to a few songs below.

For our Massachusetts friends, be sure to catch Chasse-Galerie, One Master and Grue with Sangus on May 3 at O'Briens in Alston. Show info is here.

@12:15 Awww, I'm sorry. I didn't really mean to hurt your feelings. I'll make it up to you, Buckeye. You wanna touch tips in the mens room at Saint Vitus?

I'll go ahead and clear my schedule.
