Saul Williams & Mivos Quartet

The Ecstatic Music Festival continued at Merkin Concert Hall last night (2/26), offering another unique mix of genres. Last night it was poet/spoken word artist Saul Williams joined by string quartet Mivos Quartet. First, they teamed up for four collaborations (music by Mivos, words by Saul), and then it was the US premiere of Saul Williams' collaboration with Thomas Kessler, "NGH WHT," which was originally written for the Arditti Quartet. Pictures of the night are in this post.

Ecstatic Music Fest continues through the end of March. The next show is Saturday (3/1) with Mirah and Susie Ibarra (tickets).
