Electronic musician Ryan McRyhew moved from Denver to Chicago a couple years ago where he records as Thug Entrancer. His new album, Death After Life came out this week (2/11) via Mexican Summer imprint Software. Like other records on Software, Death After Life is minimal, ambient stuff, though there are at least a couple tracks that fall into dance. You can check out the video for “Death After Life I” and another track below, and stream the whole album via Rdio.

Thug Entrancer is visiting NYC this weekend, playing Baby’s All Right on Saturday (2/15) with Supreme Cuts and WC Kid. Tickets are on sale now, but if you’d like to go for free, we’ve got a pair to give away. Details below.

Earlier on Saturday, Thug Entrancer will be performing live on an episode of Boilerroom.TV with his Software lablemates Slava and Huerco S. You can stream that from noon – 3 PM EST.
