Vaadat Charigim

We mentioned briefly that Israeli shoegaze trio Vaadat Charigim would be playing with Fat White Family at Pianos on March 21 (tickets). That is the last date on their short North American tour that starts with shows in Austin during SXSW. There is also another NYC date, happening March 20 at Death by Audio with openers TBA. All tour dates are listed below.

Last fall, Vaadat Charigim released The World Is Well Lost via Warm Ratio/Burger and it's loaded with effects-drenched dreampop. They don't sing in English, but this kind of music was never really about the lyrics anyway. It's pretty cool stuff and you can stream the whole record while perusing their US show list, below.

Is important that they are Israeli? Does it make their music better? Or is their nationality the strongest aspect of their sound?

BV tends to mention where a band is from when they're first mentioned on the site.
