Lee Fields

Soul legend Lee Fields stays very active with his band The Expressions, and he'll continue to do so with plans for a new album and tour dates this year. The new record, Emma Jean, comes out on June 3 via Truth & Soul and features a song written by Black Keys singer Dan Auerbach. The first single is a cover of JJ Cale's "Magnolia," which you can listen to below.

Lee will be previewing the new material at SXSW this year, and he's also got plans for a European tour, an appearance at Sasquatch, and a record release show in NYC happening on May 29 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for the NYC show go on sale Friday (3/7) at noon with an AmEx presale starting today (3/5) at noon.
