Mobb Deep at Waterloo Records SXSW day party (via Waterloo Twitter)
Mobb Deep

Veteran rap duo Mobb Deep are soon beginning a previously announced tour that would have included a NYC show on 3/29 at Gramercy Theatre, but like many shows at that venue, it's been cancelled. Instead, they'll play NYC at the end of the tour on May 24 at Irving Plaza. That show also includes Smif-N-Wessun, and tickets are still available. Any tickets purchased for the Gramercy date will be honored, and if you can't make the new date, refunds are available at point of purchase. Updated dates are listed below.

Mobb Deep were also just down in Austin for SXSW. While they were there, both FACT and Fuse interviewed them about the 20th anniversary reissue of The Infamous, their upcoming new album, and more. Watch videos of those two interviews, plus a live video from their set at House of Vans/Mohawk, below...

their career got killed by Tupac in 96. then, when it dared crawl out of its grave, Jay Z killed it again in 2001. havoc's had that same look on his face for 15 years. the face of a broken man.

Mobb Deep, Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z and Wu-Tang will always remind me of all the guido wanna be thugs that saw Scarface one too many times back in the day. Bar Mitzvah's and Roosevelt Field Mall come to mind as well.
