While they still aren't having shows there yet, you might want to head to Rough Trade NYC this month to check out a large Moog installation. It is, in fact, the world's largest modern Moog installation which is free to visit, and the public can unleash their inner Rick Wakeman, press some keys and twiddle some knobs. The exhibit is open 11 AM - 11 PM daily through March 29. There will be some events as part of it as well -- on March 20 there will be a performance by Kiran Gandhi of M.I.A.'s band, and at a later date (TBA), Anna Barie of These Are Powers will perform as well.

This installation is a NYC tie-in to the upcoming Moogfest 2014 which happens in Asheville, NC from April 23-27.

This store has become the Spinal Tap of music venues. Seriously, how hard is it to put a stage together and charge people?! I'm not buying the 'loud neigbor' response either.
