Post-rock/post-hardcore legends Slint had been inactive for six years before playing ATP UK in 2013, and now with a Spiderland box set on the way, they'll finally be playing North American again too. They were already announced for Forecastle Festival in Louisville, and club dates have since been announced including NYC shows on May 4 at Bowery Ballroom and May 6 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. You can also catch them in NJ on April 30 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. Tickets for the NYC shows go on sale Friday (3/21) at noon with AmEx presales starting Wednesday (3/19) at noon. The NJ show (same link) goes on sale Friday (3/21) at 10 AM.

All currently known dates are listed, along with a stream of Spiderland, below...

Was that the one back in 2005 or so at Irving Plaza? I enjoyed that one, but don't feel the need to venture out on a weeknight for these guys, stick to weekends Slint

The last tour was kind of underwhelming, but their music isn't really suited for huge venues. In a smaller club it probably would've been better.

I'm looking forward to being Slintfluenced by the awkward five minute silences between songs.
