Turin Brakes @ Mercury Lounge 3/10/2014
Turin Brakes

Veteran Britpop band Turin Brakes stopped in NYC on their way to SXSW for a show at Mercury Lounge on Monday (3/10). The band opened with four songs from their new album, We Were Here, but made time for older favorites such as "Rain City" as well. The band joked that "Our next album is going to be released on wax cylinder and distributed by carrier pigeons." Pictures from that show -- including one of the setlist -- are in this post.

The night was opened by Long Island country rock outfit Butchers Blind and their set included covers of The Faces' "Glad & Sorry" and Little Feat's "Willin." Pictures of their set -- and more from Turin Brakes -- below...

Wish I had seen this. Their first 2 albums are great but haven't kept up. Really catchy tunes.

The demand of the fans is also some way to earn money on their part.
