Black Sabbath in NJ in 2013 (more by Greg Cristman)
Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

Black Sabbath, Reignwolf @ Barclays Center
There's no real introduction needed for the great Black Sabbath, who play their first NYC show with the reunited lineup of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler (unfortunately no Bill Ward) tonight. If you're even considering going, this might be a chance you don't want to pass up.

The Music of Paul Simon w/ Bob Mould, Gibby Haynes & Bob Forrest, Isobell Campbell & Andy Cabic, John Doe, Judy Collins, Ben Sollee, Bettye LaVette, Allen Toussaint Josh Ritte & more @ Carnegie Hall
City Winery founder Michael Dorf presents his annual tribute show at Carnegie Hall tonight. This year's will feature the music of Paul SImon being performed by Bob Mould (Husker Du, Sugar), Gibby Haynes (Butthole Surfers) with Bob Forrest (Thelonius Monster, The Bicycle Thief), Isobell Campbell (ex-Belle & Sebastian) with Andy Cabic (Vetiver), John Doe (X), Judy Collins, Ben Sollee, Bettye LaVette, Allen Toussaint Josh Ritter, Mike Gordon (Phish), Madeleine Peyroux with Jon Herington (Steely Dan), and more.

Mykki Blanco, White Mandingos, BLXPLTN, Gordon Voidwell, Sunny Gang @ Glasslands
This month's Red Bull Sound Select show is curated by Afro-Punk and headlined by local rapper Mykki Blanco with support from White Mandingos (Murs + Darryl of Bad Brains), '80s R&B/synth-funk worshipper Gordon Voidwell and more.

Trentemoller, T.O.M. and his Computer @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Danish electronic musician Trentemoller just came over to the US for Miami's Ultra Music Festival, and before returning home he'll stop in NYC to turn up Music Hall of Williamsburg with a live set tonight. Sold out.

Disco Doom, Ovlov, Zula, Radical Dads @ Cake Shop
This is the first of two NYC dates on Switzerland indie rockers Disco Doom's current tour. If you're going, we especially recommend getting there early for Radical Dads, who are on first and one of Brooklyn's better indie rock bands at the moment. Disco Doom's Exploding In Sound labelmates Ovlov and psych popsters Zula are of note too.

Lunifred Benjamin, Hints, King Stork, Gregory Mendez @ Baby's All Right
The FREE MONDAYS series continues at Baby's All Right tonight with sets from Lunifred Benjamin, Hints, King Stork and Gregory Mendez that will cost you nothing to get in.

Lady Gaga @ Roseland
The long-lived NYC venue Roseland Ballroom will be closing its doors in early April, but before then it will go out with seven Lady Gaga shows, this being the third.

Wyatt Cenac's Night Train w/ Chris Gethard, Giulia Rozzi, Greg Johnson, Michael Hogan & more @ Littlefield
Comedian Wyatt Cenac is back for another ride on the Night Train with various guests including Greg Johnson and Chris Gethard, who recently announced his debut comedy album.

For all of tonight's shows, and tomorrow's, check out our NYC concert calendar.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.

Horrible day

The fire sale on Sabbath has begun as expected. Yesterday people on craigslist were selling good seats that were originally 130 for 50. Lots of tickets available on StubHub. Today should be fun watching prices drop.

Fuck scalpers.

little surprising that they might not sell this one out given that Ozzy is back and the new album is getting good press.

Sad to see Sharon and Ozzy ripping off their fans.

Typically, the bands or talent are given a few rows of seats at arenas. At Barclays these rows of seats are in section 25 or section 7. Always. They're good seats and bands can be assured that friends and family have good seats.

But take a look at Stubhub now for tonight's show. A huge block of seats , even greater than the ticketmaster limit, are for sale in these rows. These are the seats the promoters and venue agree to give the talent gratis.

What does Ozzy and his management do? They scalp the seats for 2.5 times the face value. Wankers.
