Young Widows at Saint Vitus Bar in January 2014 (more by Caroline Harrison)

As we've noted before, the new Young Widows album Easy Pain is more or less publicly available already -- they played the whole album straight through in front of a camera-laden audience at Saint Vitus in January, and there's at least one high-quality video of the set floating around on the internet. You can watch & listen below if you missed the first time.

Studio cuts are nonetheless trickling out in advance of the album's upcoming May 13 release via Temporary Residence. You can hear the latest, "King Sol," below. It's a ripper, and to make matters better, you'll have another chance to hear it live soon -- Young Widows are touring again in May, including a stop at Saint Vitus Bar on 5/18. The awesome post-metal unit Helms Alee, who have a killer album called Sleepwalking Sailors out on Sargent House this year, will provide direct support. (You can stream Sleepwalking Sailors below, too.) Tickets go on sale Friday (3/28) at 1 PM.

All Young Widows, including a few April appearances with Japanese post-rockers MONO, with the streams of "King Sol," the Helms Alee album, and that handy full performance of Easy Pain, below...
