AVOS

If you're from North America and you're not familiar with Athens, Greece psychedelic rock duo A Victim of Society, they may be familiar to some of your favorite psych bands. They've played recent Athens shows with The Black Angels, Moon Duo, Dirty Beaches and Disappears, and if you're a fan of any of those bands, you'll likely dig AVOS too. Their debut album, Distractions, comes out soon via Greek label Inner Ear Records (also home to their art rock neighbors The Callas), and you can get a taste of that from its single "Certain Sense," which premieres in this post. The track is a total trip through spacey guitar effects, distortion-drenched vocals, and demonic surf-rock melodies.

Check it out below...

I really like their photo. It's very edgy. I like how they're not looking at the camera. They didn't even know the photographer was taking a picture. It's very cool.

I accidentally clicked on the song and it sounded like the fire alarm going off in my apartment building. I actually started getting up and putting on my clothes until my earbuds fell out and I was like, "Oh! Duh right?"

If you aren't from North America, would your favorite North American psych bands have NOT heard of this?
