Dan Sartain covers The Knife on new album 'Dudesblood' (stream the whole LP)

Birmingham, AL’s Dan Sartain got his start making lo-fi punk over 10 years ago. He expands his pallette considerably for his new album, Dudesblood, which is out on April 29 via One Little Indian. You still get memorable Ramones-y ravers (and a funny Picadilly punk parody “Smash the Tesco”), but there’s also the western tumble of “Marfa Lights” and “Moonlight Swim,” plus a terrific, cover of The Knife’s “Pass This On” featuring the marimba skills of X drummer DJ Bonebreak. We’re premiering a stream of the whole album which you can listen to in this post.

Dan just wrapped up dates with Rocket from the Crypt. He’s got nothing on the tour horizon right now but hopefully that will change soon. Meanwhile, stream Dudesblood and check out the video for “Pass This On,” below…
