Birmingham, AL's Dan Sartain got his start making lo-fi punk over 10 years ago. He expands his pallette considerably for his new album, Dudesblood, which is out on April 29 via One Little Indian. You still get memorable Ramones-y ravers (and a funny Picadilly punk parody "Smash the Tesco"), but there's also the western tumble of "Marfa Lights" and "Moonlight Swim," plus a terrific, cover of The Knife's "Pass This On" featuring the marimba skills of X drummer DJ Bonebreak. We're premiering a stream of the whole album which you can listen to in this post.

Dan just wrapped up dates with Rocket from the Crypt. He's got nothing on the tour horizon right now but hopefully that will change soon. Meanwhile, stream Dudesblood and check out the video for "Pass This On," below...

It's 2014 and hillbilly white trash people from Alabama dress and act like they're members of NWA circa 1988.

The only thing missing here is a relocation to Bushwick on mom and dad's dime for this "talented artist".

Awesome cover of Pass This On. Album is all over the place yet oddly endearing and some truly great tracks.

PS rod leaker molested goats over the weekend.

Yeah, am I hillbilly white trash or a rich kid hipster? Make up yo damn mind!

Hey shitnugget,

Get the stick outta your vag, and perhaps you could think a little more clearly- people aren't relocating to goddamn Bushwick, they're relocating to B'ham! On their own dimes...
Take your dick-hurt to a forum that's got a roll of Sparkle paper towels on the ready, to sop up your T-ball dad pussy resentment- like say Woman's Health?! Seriously, man...Dan kicks ass, and your ass, um...needs some rhoid cream, apparently. The only thing missing is a minivan with 2 1/2 stick-figure kids on the back and a bitchy ass wife that represents your crushed dreams of being a rockstar like Sartain.

PS: Rod LEAKER- just sounds like a euphemism for gonorrhea symptoms. Guess you DO have a little dick-hurt. That's what happens when you let your ignorance flag fly!
