As mentioned, Brooklyn-based duo Eaters' debut album is due out this month via Driftless / Dull Tools. If you dig synthy, soundtracky music (John Carpenter, Goblin) or darkwave, you should check them out. You can stream "Far" below, and the LP is available for preorder now.

Around the time of the album's release, Eaters will take their table full of gear and cram it in the van for a short Northeast / Midwest tour that kicks off in Brooklyn on April 17 at Glasslands. The show has strong support from former Parts & Labor member and keyboard wiz Dan Friel and powerhouse duo Yvette, with Future Punx on DJ duty. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

A week or so after this show, Dan Friel opens for Trans Am at Knitting Factory on April 23. Yvette's only other show is April 11 at Stony Brook University.

How fortunate that one of Brooklyn's finest poets is a popular singer, so that she may reach more people
