can his candy-cane powered hot-air balloon really fly all the way to France?

Is Molly in the house?

would rather see him play w/ the strokes at govball, which is happening according to the govball reddit AMA

I truly can understand the tendency for you to want to hyphenate candy-cane, friend, but it's not needed. Candy cane does not require that. However, that collection of words you threw up there presents quite a fun little issue. So gather around my Billyburger-eating brothers and sisters. See what I did there? That hyphen works. While candy cane does not need one, you are really describing the balloon you so foolishly imagined he would be floating around in while on tour. Friend, that's not how travel works in 2014, but it was a cute try. You could, if you would care to impress The Professor, write: candy-cane-powered-hot-air-balloon. Keep that in mind; keep on trucking.

Hey 2:44, which starbucks do you work at? Front street? Brooklyn Heights?

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 2:55 PM

I didn't know Sigourney Weaver played guitar.

I'm not much of a Starbucks person. Although, I did once visit the first one in Seattle, and I liked it. Really though, my cafes of choice are usually: MUD, Abraco, Ninth Street Espresso and Stumptown when I'm near Ace. I was once a regular at Greenpoint Coffee House, but that has sadly been closed for years.

I saw him play with The Strokes at Radio City. Back when they both mattered.

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 3:05 PM

Not certain if The Stroked actually ever mattered.

^3:06, you're either delusional or stupid. is this it will easily go down as one of the best albums of the 00's.

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 3:13 PM

true that 3:06. NEVER understood the appeal of the strokes. absolutely NOTHING special there.

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 3:13 PM

news flash 2:20 - doesn't matter HOW long he (or any other artist) plays.

QUALITY trumps quantity.

get it?

"^3:06, you're either delusional or stupid. is this it will easily go down as one of the best albums of the 00's."

FYI: '00s is what you wanted up there, friend. Pay attention.

The day he's playing is apparently sold out (at least the GA tickets are, you can still buy VIP). Hopefully he'll do a smaller show around here in the days leading up to Gov Ball.

Who gives a shit about this fat attention seeking stunt coordinating hack of a "blues" musician?

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 3:55 PM

3:13, and they've put out crappy albums ever since.

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 3:58 PM

My favorite thing about Jack White is that he uses thousands and thousands of dollars worth of equipment to help sound raw and stripped down.

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 4:17 PM

^ Ha! True that.

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 5:29 PM

^also thousands of dollars of makeup, hair gel, and other assorted beauty items for the same purpose

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 5:40 PM

Jack White rocks baby!

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 6:35 PM

He is nothing without Meg. She was the counterweight.

Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2014 7:32 PM

@3:15- Not when you pay $117 for a ticket. I wouldn't have minded another 30 minutes of tunes.

Posted by x431 | April 8, 2014 4:37 AM

you OBVIOUSLY still don't get it, 8:40, and most likely never will.

QUALITY > quantity

Posted by Anonymous | April 8, 2014 7:39 AM

White Stripes was quality..his solo and other output not so much! You still don't get it

Posted by Anonymous | April 8, 2014 8:10 AM

The Von Bondies please

Posted by Anonymous | April 8, 2014 8:54 AM

Haven't really dug anything White has done since the Stripes. Raconteurs were okay but the rest, meh. As for the Strokers, first two records were cool but once they started to get into individual song writing the ship sunk. All of their solo efforts blow pretty hard too.
