Beyonce at Made In America 2013 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)

The Jay Z and Beyonce tour went on Chase presale yesterday (4/29) and got some fans pretty worked up at the prices. Another presale for most cities on the tour begins today (4/30) at 10 AM, and you don't need a Chase card for this one but do you need the password (anyone know it?). Ticket links for all dates except the NYC-area show happening on 7/11 at MetLife Stadium are at Beyonce's site. On-sale time still TBA for the MetLife Stadium show.

Looks like it will be another good year for Jay and Beyonce. Billboard reports that Bey's last tour recently "ended its yearlong run with overall revenue totaling $212 million from more than 1.8 million sold tickets at 126 concerts."

RUN is the password.

There's always some snarky comment/headline when it's about black musicians. Ticket prices range from $36.50 to $222 for a stadium show. Your old cranky white bands charge just as much. Get over it.

This has nothing to do with color. Stop race baiting. It's stupid when people pay $300 a ticket for any stadium show, unless they are sitting in the first 15 rows center on the floor.
I don't blame the artists for charging that much. If people are stupid enough to pay top dollar to spend the entire show staring at video screens, artists should charge as much.

I'll take the race bait.
Beyonce's about as white as any black person can get.

damn these bitches want your money!

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2014 10:19 AM

For that much per ticket I want me a big old comp bag filled with high priced swag

This is the perfect concert for people that don't go to concerts. Music for people that don't like music.

Who gives a shit about this garbage...

Instagram should collect metrics on what shows feature the highest per capita volume of selfies shared during/from the show. I would think that these would break all previous records.

11:10 Bravo.

Not sure which is going to be a bigger scalping dud: this or Arcade Fire at Barclays. You'll be able to get into either show for 20 bucks or less on the night of the show.

^ not like American Football, those shows will cover the loss

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2014 12:24 PM

Actually 10:06, BV has also pointed out when the Stones have charged those same prices for their arena run in 2012. Stop with the white guilt.

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2014 12:28 PM

Protip: most bars will let you watch karaoke free of charge.

I got my presale code under my new stroller. Cute city style!

I see the racist is out in full bloom again. SHUT YOUR PIE holes! Whenever Mick Jagger and the Flintstones or Stone aged Stones all of them in their 70s come to town. they charge up wards of 300 and up. Same with Fleetward Mac. All of them damn near 70. Van Helin, Bono, U2 all of those white rock bands have HIGH priced tickets but none of you monkeys have shit to say Go F yourselves! You dont want to see Beyonce or jay z? keep your monkey ass home you wont be missed least of all by Beyonce. When Madonna ass came to Phillips her tickets were through the roof. No one said shit

What are they on the run from?

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2014 2:14 PM

1006 Absolute BS! They are modern music at it's worst.

201 Monkeys? up wards of 300? You are an idiot!

Beyonce = lip synching stripper.

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2014 2:28 PM

2:01, You're just looking to turn this into a race thing, where nothing is going on. I ALWAYS see people complaining about ticket prices for every show, regardless of who it is. The difference here has nothing to do with color... But people complain more for something like this because YOUNG people like Jay and Bey. OLDER people like the Stones, Fleetwood Mac, etc. Older people are 20-30 years into their careers and make lots more money than your average Jay or Beyonce fan.
So relax there buddy, and take your race baiting elsewhere.

10:23 : you're right, but it's a sad truth to swallow. our society is a festering, malignant, inoperable tumor. everything is formulated for people that don't understand/care to understand. . . . but have the money. most of these degenerates have public social media accounts; everyday is a selfie with their new toy. jay-z, surgeon general, says: "light up, ya bitch. ha, it's ya boi! gimme the money you were gonna waste at foot locker anyways!"

Hahaha! "HOVAPRICED"...brilliant.

So many inflated egos, who is anyone to determine what genre of music is better. A "waste" of money is based on a perspective, such is your life as well. If you can't afford it, simply don't go. If you want to go, work harder. If you think you're a super-intelligent being with philosophical insight on the universe because you listen to other artists, get your self-centered ass checked for bipolar disorder.

Posted by Anonymous | May 2, 2014 1:58 AM

1:58 - My "perspective" is that spending 300+ (600+ if I bring a date) for a show in a football stadium, where all the seats are far away except for the first few rows center on the floor, and where I will have to stare at a videoscreen all night, is foolish. And I think any sensible, logical person would agree. But then again, common sense is not always common.

Posted by Anonymous | May 2, 2014 11:47 AM

I saw ticket prices online it ranges from $3,000 to $4,000 now

Posted by Anonymous | May 27, 2014 5:28 AM

^Imagine paying that price then attending a show in a downpour!

Posted by Anonymous | May 27, 2014 8:56 AM

Shut up!!! Ppl like to think they value music, but really they wish it was free. These musicians have to make a living themselves, and through their talent, fame, and glory they should be able to without complaint. And some of you are right about race and color. Has anyone complained about Gagas ticket pricing?? Beyonce and Jay are both music legends at this point. Especially Jay. Gaga and other artists like Katy Perry are beginners. Complain about their shit. It also has to do with the genre both artists are. R&b and hiphop are thought of as "ghetto" so nobody feels these "ghetto" musicians should charge or are worth this much. Bullshit. Beyonce puts on a hell of a performance and that woman gives it her all and in my opinion is worth whatever high price she is charging. She is the queen of modern r&b and one of the top pop artists as well. Jays presence added to the concert is enough to understand the high cost. And do people complain about sports ticket prices or some of these phones they're selling?? $700 phones and beyond???
Let's start valuing and appreciating music a lot more ppl. It is much more valuable than sports or electronic devices. Amen.♥
