Majical Cloudz at Von in 2013 (more by Amanda Hatfield)
Majical Cloudz

Just yesterday we mentioned that Montreal's Majical Cloudz would be playing the Marlin Room at Webster Hall on May 4 for the Spencer Madsen book release. Now comes the news that about a month later they'll hit Webster Hall (which is now booked by in part by former 285 Kent booker Ric Leichtung) again, this time at The Studio on 6/6 with Dutch E Germ. Tickets for the newly-added show go on sale Friday (5/2) at 10 AM. Tickets for the 5/4 show (same link) are still available.

The Studio show is part of Pitchfork's new Nightcap series, which also includes TBA late-night shows in Chicago, Portland (Oregon), Seattle, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Majical Cloudz appeared in Pitchfork's Top 10 Albums of 2013.

Why would we need "proof"? WTF does that mean, that Ric has been lying that he's booking there or something.

Anyway, Ric doesn't book the "Studio" anyway, so not only does the headline make no sense, but the internal article is also wrong.

We need proof that someone at this blog has a brain.

@3:28

actually i'm handling the studio and the marlin room, which is that middle room that's a little nicer/bigger.

i throw suggestions out for what i think would be cool to put in the main room and am sometimes involved (death in june!!!), but most of work on stuff that's going to be post-september '14 when bowery presents exits will be handled by heath miller.

@4:54. Obviously who books shows is the most important thing. Otherwise all the shows would be Taking Back Sunday and The Used.
