After the Rock and Rall Hall of Fame induction at Barclays Center, "Nirvana" headed over to Saint Vitus for another show.

Actually it's happening right this second (2:30am Thursday night). Follow @BrooklynVegan on Twitter for more. UPDATE: 4am: It's over.

Joan Jett, J. Mascis, Annie Clark aka St. Vincent, John McCauley of Deer Tick (and Deervana when Deer Tick is a Nirvana cover band), and Kim Gordon fronted Nirvana (aka Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear) at the gig.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:50 AM

Congrats to those that were able to attend.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:52 AM

I'm reading this from my ipad in bed, but too old and fat to give a fuck.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:53 AM

Is that J Mascis?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:53 AM

Oh, no big deal that I missed this - I'm sure they'll announce more dates soon.

STONGVANA FEATURING STONG

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 4:45 AM

I'm the stong guy. I just watched those tiny little clips of what happened tonight after I made my knee jerk stong comment and am genuinely real bummed I wasn't there.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 4:48 AM

DON'T YOU PEOPLE HAVE JOBS TO GO TO?!?! WHO HAS TIME FOR THIS SHIT?!?!?!?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 7:20 AM

What's up with that lame ass crowd?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 7:45 AM

was this strictly invite only?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:01 AM

Glad Courtney wasn't there.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:02 AM

I'm sure Kurt would be stoked that the guy from Deer Tick was singing his songs

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:05 AM

I don't care about Nirvana, but that seemed really fun and exciting. Good for them.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:12 AM

it would not surprise me if they brought this on the road

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:17 AM

They should bring this on the road... aside from Lorde (which I don't get), the lineup is pretty awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:25 AM

How awkward was the Kim Gordon / Courtney Love confrontation backstage?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:42 AM

Someone mentioned this was STRICT NIRVANA GUEST LIST ONLY. True?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:43 AM

7:20 stop being such a pussy. this is worthy of taking a day off or going to work on a few hours a sleep.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:43 AM

Is there a video of school?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:52 AM

yeah, great. let's all celebrate the dude who couldn't get himself off of junk even after he had a kid to raise, and then killed himself because, sigh, fame was so hard.

This actually looked really cool, and I would definitely go see this if it toured. Looks like it was done as a tasteful tribute.

Posted by scarab cadaver | April 11, 2014 8:56 AM

Damn, st Vincent did a pretty killer big black, but she kinda sounds like alanis morisette when she does nirvana

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 8:58 AM

bet the DIIV dude is super bummed they didnt ask him or sky ferrari

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:00 AM

would have liked to see more Boyfrndz and the Unstoppable Death Machines. This looked like shit. Thx SV.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:02 AM

Awesome, but I hope they don't bring this on the road. That would be cheesy.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:05 AM

anyone make it in that wasn't on the guest list?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:13 AM

9:00 I would've rather seen him than the guy from fucking Deer Tick. Saw those nerds at Brooklyn Bowl once and my friends getting drunk and and playing into a boom box was better than that Deervana shit.

8:58 Yeah St. Vincent went off on that Big Black song. Can't understand why she's gone all Lilith Fair for Nirvana.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:14 AM

"What's up with that lame ass crowd?"

They are Brooklyn lemmings. What do you expect?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:20 AM

the world gets all star tribute performances, and all Francis Bean wants is her father back.

the needle > fatherhood, I guess...

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:22 AM

9:22 Dude what's done is done. Last night was about celebrating the music and what it meant to people. There's plenty of time to brood about Kurt being a junkie.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:27 AM

God you commenters are assholes. If John Lennon, George Harrison and John Bonham came back from the dead and teh Beatles and Zep played an impromptu double bill at Mercury Lounge you douchebags would stiull be saying "Meh".

Posted by The Mighty KC | April 11, 2014 9:48 AM

lol @ snarky internet kids being mad about this.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:49 AM

9:48:

Bad analogy. No one here came back from the dead to play this show.
If Kurt had come back from the dead to play this show and people on here said Meh THEN you would have a point.

Phish > Perfect Pussy > St Vincent & Nirvana

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:58 AM

Happy for Pat Smear, feel bad for Chad Channing. Mascis and Gordon should be there, the rest of these fools don't even listen to rock music.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:59 AM

Did you know that Kurt Cobain was the only musician who ever used heroin? It's true!! Nobody else did! Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, Paul Kossoff, nobody else has ever used heroin. Ever.

Posted by scarab cadaver | April 11, 2014 10:07 AM

Shit. John Coltrane was a junkie, which renders his entire catalog as worthless I guess.

Posted by scarab cadaver | April 11, 2014 10:11 AM

It's probable that the majority of the crowd were lame industry people/non-music fans. Cool on Mascis and Gordon. Too bad there weren't more folks like that in tow. Don't get what some of these other clowns were doing up there.

8:58 - I like some of St. Vincent's stuff but yeah, she sounds like Alanis Morissette most of the time.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:17 AM

8:43 from what I've read, yes, guest list only...but I read another article that implied if you got there at the right time you could have made it in, but i think it would be doubtful.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:18 AM

@959

100% agree.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:21 AM

fuck. me...

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:22 AM

What a bunch of pussy commenters

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:23 AM

LOL at the people who think this will ever be a touring act. It's pretty clear that this will NEVER happen again.

Sincerely, 3:33AM.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:24 AM

Won't ever happen again - this little one-off is the perfect tribute, anything else would be pee on a grave. Really sucks that it was private/unannounced though, since it seems like only R&R hall of fame VIPs knew about it in time

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:35 AM

That virgin Lorde fronting Nirvana? I think I know someone who:s very happy tonight he had killed himself 20 years ago.

Posted by ME | April 11, 2014 10:36 AM

if you saw that tweet at 1:20am, you probably wouldn't have even made it unless you live in greenpoint or queens - saint vitus is located in the most impossible section of brooklyn.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:38 AM

Was Fred Armisen unavailable?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:46 AM

isn't Saint Vitus a gay bar?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:46 AM

This is actually weird. You're playing a space like Saint Vitus to preserve Nirvana's image, yet the show is only open to record execs and social media industry types that Kurt Cobain would wanna piss on.

Do a one-off at a random spot with a first-come first-serve thing if you really want to honour what the band was. Dave and Krist are a little too media-friendly, like this show.

That on the table, I'd do nasty things to be at that gig.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:47 AM

"8:43 from what I've read, yes, guest list only...but I read another article that implied if you got there at the right time you could have made it in, but i think it would be doubtful.

No one who just showed up got in. It was strict guest list/private only.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:50 AM

Did Pat Smear use the St. Vitus glory hole?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:52 AM

I second 10:47. I'd hate for Nirvana to go out as some corporate dick sucking fest. Isn't this part of the reason Kurt killed himself in the first place?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:56 AM

if you kill yourself because of the threat of a "corporate dick sucking fest" you didn't deserve to live in the first place.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:02 AM

was Francis Bean there? or is she still too mad at her junkie father for not caring enough about her to get his life together?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:04 AM

^Apparently she was too ill to make it.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:08 AM

the presumably lame crowd is my quantum of solace

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:09 AM

My 2 buddies got in, he new a tech at the bar
Said it wasn't even at capacity, around 150 ppl

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:23 AM

wasnt at capacity, im not an industry persona nd walked right in at 2:30

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:30 AM

10:17 - "other clowns" = Joan Jett & the guy from Deer Tick.
I love indie snobs. What did they do to become "clowns"? Joan Jett was indie before indie was a concept. Go jump off a bridge.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:32 AM

11:30... you are full of crap. They weren't just letting people walk right in right before the band started playing.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:39 AM

"wasnt at capacity, im not an industry persona nd walked right in at 2:30"

And you are a lying troll

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:40 AM

I think seeing John of Deer tick would've have been right up with seeing Kim Gordon and Mascis, for me anyways. His voice is perfectly fitting, plus he's been an outspoken fan for years.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:47 AM

11:32 when was Joan Jett indie? When she got dumped by the majors after 20 years?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:54 AM

i love all the corporate talk on this thread. people forget that nirvana released their most popular albums on a major label, did rolling stone covers, were all over mtv. nobody gave a fuck about them when they weren't sucking the corporate teet.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:57 AM

and another thing: kurt cobain didn't kill himself because he was so sad about being a corporate whore. he was out of his mind on drugs. a junkie. junkies are all liars.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:00 PM

11:54, when she got rejected by majors in the early 80s, said "Fuck that" and created her own label and distributed the album herself, sometimes out of the trunk of Kenny Laguna's car. That album eventually got picked up by a major and was re-released as "Bad Reputation".

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:06 PM

and 11:54, how exactly are Kim Gordon and J. Mascis indie, if they spent big parts of their careers on major labels themselves?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:08 PM

get bent

Posted by blayne | April 11, 2014 12:13 PM

independent venue full of friends of the artists playing

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:16 PM

1047 You're playing a space like Saint Vitus to preserve Nirvana's image? Huh? WTF does that mean?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:20 PM

What a bunch of fucking crybabies

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:35 PM

what a joke this is - a tiny show for your friends? AWESOME WORK.

All the artists involved should be ashamed.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:41 PM

Get over it. Everyone. Music is a business. Period. Just let go of that "indie" concept already, and just shut the fuck up and enjoy music for what it is. Indie snobs are just as annoying as the artists they hate.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:45 PM

These secret small club shows these days are anything but how cool they pretend to be. There really is nothing cool about playing a tiny space at 2am if no fans are allowed in. Really doesn't that defeat the entire purpose?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:56 PM

"Hey guess what? 'Nirvana' are playing at a bar in Greenpoint, wanna go?"

"Sure, that sounds really coo... er wait a minute we aren't allowed in because we aren't friends of the band."

"Oh, that's lame. Whatever, nevermind."

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:58 PM

I've yet to legitimately hear it reported that anyone that wasn't somehow connected got through the door.

This reminds me of the Fashion Week shows.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 12:59 PM

Grohl has been a corporate sellout whore for years. The Foo Fighters are the go-to corporate sponsorship band for pretty much anything for a while now. Playing a small room for your friends and industry people only is not surprising. Shame on Noveselic and Smear for going along with it though.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:02 PM

If you play something cool like this but you don't announce it and/or open it up to fans then it sort of cancels itself out doesn't it?

I mean then really what's the point? So all the people that would have wanted to go can find out afterwards that not only didn't they know about it but they couldn't have gotten in even if they did?

How is that cool?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:05 PM

Where's Thurston?

Posted by Eazy L | April 11, 2014 1:15 PM

ca$$$hing in! I'll tell ya who needs jobs, all these has-beens!

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:17 PM

Sounds like a lot of bitter sour grapes on here. Yeah it sucks that it was invite only to industry and friends but what would you have them do?

If they announced it last night and made it open to the public, there would have been a stampede and probably 2000 or more people descending on that little street trying to get in. Yes even at 2am. A total mess and headache.

If they announced it in advance and say put tickets on sale, a precious few would have gotten them, and probably try and scalp for mega dollars, and you all would still be bitching.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:17 PM

they shouldn't have kicked people out who were already inside though. it's not like the place was packed. this whole thing is a metaphor for Brooklyn in general.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:24 PM

I agree, there's no way something this intimate (and amazing) could have been open to the public. And if it was, what, you really think the band is going let a bunch of weirdos into a tiny venue instead of their friends and family? Get over yourselves.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:25 PM

Went right around midnight to have a beer and pick up a Goatwhore ticket. Was turned away at the door without having any clue what was going on. Nirvana sucks anyway no loss.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:31 PM

"Bad analogy. No one here came back from the dead to play this show.
If Kurt had come back from the dead to play this show and people on here said Meh THEN you would have a point."

You are clearly an idiot. It wasn't an analogy, it was a hypothesis. My point was that BV commenters are impressed by nothing. They say meh to everything. This lineup was impressive, and looked like a phenomenal show and assholes were still bashing it. Nothing makes these people happy. They are miserable all the time.

Posted by The Mighty KC | April 11, 2014 1:32 PM

To all of you crybabies: Yeah the show would have been cool if you were there but seeing as you were not it wasn't. The show was not for you! Get over it!

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:47 PM

this wasn't a "show" at all though - it was a video shoot.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 1:51 PM

They actually kicked people out that were already inside? Man that's cold.

well if they did that then I KNOW they didn't let anyone in from outside that wasn't on the list!

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:16 PM

i live about a 5 minute cab ride from St Vitus and heard about this at like 2 last night, glad i didn't bother getting dressed and going down there... waaaaaay too old to deal with door hassles...

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:31 PM

guest list only shows almost don't count.

It's really just a private party that happens to be held at an otherwise public venue.

If you can't get into it then why be upset? You can't get into their rehearsals either. Same thing really.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:33 PM

I never thought to rush this clowshit 'cause Nirvana is so passe

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:37 PM

This show sounds like it would have been cool. Hope the all had a fun time playing and their friends and family + whoever else got to go enjoyed it.

What so wrong with all of that?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:42 PM

There's nothing wrong with it and there's nothing wrong with them playing a show for their family and friends. But the internet lights up (including this site) with blaring headlines about it that suggest this was some sort of secret/unannounced show, which in truth it was not.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:49 PM

IT was pre-planned for their family and friends and other connected invited people and fans could not attend. That does not a secret/unannounced show make, that's called a private party.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:50 PM

I agree with above. If anyone could have gone to this it would have been a true secret show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:52 PM

Private party? secret show? You're gonna split hairs on this issue? Who gives a shit? They played, you weren't there. Move on.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:54 PM

A;secret show suggest that people lucky enough to find out about it and/or be there at the right time would have been in the right spot! In reality if they kicked out people that were already inside, then there was no chance anyone could have gone to this 'secret show' except the 'lucky folks' who were invited and already knew about it. Thus, not a secret show. A Private performance that the invitees knew about.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:55 PM

Bands play all the time privately at things that you are not invited to. If you are not invited or allowed in then there's nothing to complain about.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:56 PM

Point being?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:57 PM

point being that the people bitching and moaning that they weren't there shouldn't be bitching and moaning because they were never going to be there no matter if they knew about it or not and no matter how much they may have wanted to. So there is no point in complaining or being annoyed at all.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 2:59 PM

Wait, did the members or of Nirvana "bill" this as a secret show? If not, totally uncool on their part. If they "billed" it as a private party then that's all kosher, carry on.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 3:01 PM

Stupid people complaining

It is simple, here is what you do If you are mad that this happened and you could not go or get in.

Be angry at Nirvana, so don't buy anything related to them including any upcoming reissues etc.

Be angry at Saint Vitus for letting in some of their friends and don't patronize the place ever and tell your friends not to go there.

Be angry at Butch Vig for getting in so don't purchase anything from Garbage or anything he does in the future

Be angry at Carrie Brownstein who got in, so don't watch Portlandia and don't purchase anything she has a hand in

Hell, the guy from Noisey and his photographer managed to get in so stop reading Noisey and going to their site.

Basically stop complaining if you are mad and just stick it to these people where their wallet is.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 3:22 PM

"1047 You're playing a space like Saint Vitus to preserve Nirvana's image? Huh? WTF does that mean?"

It means they might as well have played Milk Studios; they blatantly chose the venue b/c it fits with Nirvana's reputation, but the invite-only status negates it completely.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 3:26 PM

"Bands play all the time privately at things that you are not invited to. If you are not invited or allowed in then there's nothing to complain about."

If you can't see how this is different, then you're a pretty simple person.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 3:27 PM

I guess I'm simple then.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 3:30 PM

"i love all the corporate talk on this thread. people forget that nirvana released their most popular albums on a major label, did rolling stone covers, were all over mtv. nobody gave a fuck about them when they weren't sucking the corporate teet."

do you even remember the shit nirvana would do in the media? they basically had MTV sucking their teet; fucking funeral stage setup at an unplugged show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 3:32 PM

the whole fucking world can't fit in the dumb joint. They used to play to flys then overnight they were huge beyond believe. Remember that. but of course you don't. Most of you were in grammar school.

Posted by Review Stalker | April 11, 2014 3:54 PM

I don't even remember when people called it "grammar school"

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 3:55 PM

I was there. It was incredible. People who were in the bar before 11 were kicked out because it was a private event and they booked the space. Thats how private events work.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 4:48 PM

"but the invite-only status negates it completely."

Do you understand how dangerous it would have been to allow just anyone into this? If word got out, the mob outside of Saint Vitus would have been a nightmare.

It's not like you nor I had any chance getting into this, they wanted to play for friends and family. Once you get over the fact that you're not important to anyone who has had something to do with Nirvana, you'll stop being so frustrated with the fact that you couldn't go last night.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 4:54 PM

dangerous, he says

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 4:59 PM

I ran into a stroller klatch my last time in Brooklyn. Four city couplez were talking cute city stuff. It is a cute place but the fussyness bugs me.

Posted by Mr. Foot Fetish | April 11, 2014 5:11 PM

I got to Vitus around 3am and the bouncers were very strictly only letting people in from the band's personal guest list. Hung out outside the club with about 10-15 other kids and listened to what we could hear of the show from the sidewalk. Occasionally, somebody who didn't have a wristband would be let in if somebody from inside would come out and vouch for them.

At about 3:50, the band had just finished and a guy came out and actually let those of us still hanging outside into the venue to grab a drink. Aside from the performers mentioned in the article, Jack Endino, Chad Channing, Butch Vig, Michael Azzerad, Eric Erlandson, Dale Crover, Dan Peters, and Kimberly Cobain were all in attendance.

How is it different? Because this is something that YOU like and could not go to?

It's not different at all. Very simple: You are not invited you cannot go. No matter what it is. Seems like you don't understand something rather simple.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:01 PM

"At about 3:50, the band had just finished and a guy came out and actually let those of us still hanging outside into the venue to grab a drink"

Oh after the show was over, how big of them.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:10 PM

this is so lame!!!

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:14 PM

They let you stand outside for an hour of the show then the minute it's over they let you in to buy drinks ten minutes before the bar closes? How insulting.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:16 PM

Was Tad Doyle there?

Posted by Dick Head | April 11, 2014 6:18 PM

OK, so nobody not connected got in. Totally lame private elitist crap.

Hundreds of people outside? Madhouse? Apparently not. They couldn't have just let in the 10-15 people outside into a less than capacity room? Who would that have hurt?

That's really messed up.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:18 PM

Thanks goodness this was strict invite only list, as I didn't go, I feel ok about that.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:29 PM

didn't you already post that nonsense?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:39 PM

"Private elitist crap". LOL
Do you invite everyone to everything you do? They wanted friends and family only. What's the big friggin deal?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:40 PM

@6:30, it should be posted over and over to shut the fucking bitter whiners up. That is the real nonsense

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:44 PM

Nirvana sucks

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 6:49 PM

No big friggin deal just that if there are a small handful of faithful crazy fans waiting outside and there's room inside, throw a bone ya know? Especially if you are purposefully playing a small punk club for the cred.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 7:06 PM

Why wasn't Hall & Oates invited?

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 9:37 PM

Saw Art Garfunkel outside pacing back and forth. They wouldn't let him in.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 10:39 PM

"No big friggin deal just that if there are a small handful of faithful crazy fans waiting outside and there's room inside, throw a bone ya know? Especially if you are purposefully playing a small punk club for the cred."

EXACTLY

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:01 PM

my friend farted

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:23 PM

What "cred" exactly were they playing this show for? Last time I checked, they weren't even a band any longer and had "cred" in spades for the music they made over 20 years ago. They were playing this show for fun. They certainly weren't playing it so that you could say you were there.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2014 11:44 PM

You've all heard of Gen X, Gen Y etc...
This is Gen W for Whiners!
That is all people seem to do on this site is whine, whine, whine.
The tickets sold out too fast, they are too expensive, I waited outside for hours, blah, blah,blah...It's really quite comical.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 1:48 AM

WAS THERE ANY HUMMUS SERVED AT THE EVENT?!?!

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 2:09 AM

1:48 Go feed your golden retriever old man

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:24 AM

1024 The truth hurts huh?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 12:48 PM

You're all a bunch of BASTARD PEOPLE!

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 1:01 PM

They are entitled to do anything they want..... It's their band, their friends, their family, their industry connections. However, playing a small secret show for fans would be super cool. Playing a small club show for only their friends, family and inudtry connections? Not so cool.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 2:21 PM

Michael Stipe joins 'Nirvana' as the new singer. Its Alice in Chains II all over again.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 5:04 PM

I'm the bald guy pumping my fist in the air to Kim...I had to pay a bouncer $500 to get in...also missed an important conference I had in the morning, but whatever! Ah, reliving my college days! The venue was a little seedier than I am used to, but it was fun!

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 5:38 PM

5:38:

I don't believe a word of that, but thanks it was funny.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 7:20 PM

For fuck's sake, didn't any of you people ever see Nirvana? Guess what? I did, that guy did, she did twice, and so did literally hundreds of thousands of other people. Also guess what, this wasn't Nirvana. Idjits, all.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 8:58 PM

RE: the crowd.

It's all industry people, you morons. They don't start pits! They all have thick rimmed glasses, pudding rings, and drink espresso at these events.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:23 PM

2:21 thinks that it's cooler to play "secret" shows for the nameless millions who steal records off of the Internet, as opposed to your own family. Fucking genius logic.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:26 PM

7:06 & 11:01 seem to be under the impression that Nirvana needs to work on their cred.

I think that if I laughed at these two anon-asshats any harder my lungs would fucking fall out.

How *do* you people manage to keep breathing with all of that viscous shit constantly running out of your mouths?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:32 PM

It's not a "secret" show if it's just for invited guests, because all those guests know about it as they were invited. It's really just a "private" show. It's the freaking internet hype machine that has to instantly label this a "secret", "unannounced" show.

It wasn't a 'show' if fans couldn't go and it wasn't 'secret' if everyone that was told about it knew. Yes it was unannounced but for a reason, not because they were surprising anyone, but because they just didn't want anyone that wasn't invited to know about it.

These industry type private things are all pretty boring if you ask me.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:52 PM

Yeah, they are not interested in their cred? That's why they let in website people who they knew would blog about it?

Believe me, Dave Krohl has been part of the Corporate sponsored Foo Fighters machine for long enough now that I think he does indeed need to work on his cred.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:56 PM

typo: Grohl, of course.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:56 PM

Kurt was the creative force, the songwriter, the look, the icon, the voice of the band. Without him it's just a cover band.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2014 10:58 PM

Kurt loved Kiss. Fact.

You know he would have loved Jacuzzi_Boys as well.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2014 12:27 AM

^haha best thing in this thread

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2014 11:00 PM

kurt would have def liked jahcuzzi boys, but he would have wanted to JOIN grimes.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2014 11:35 PM

Cred. What an idiotic term. Either you like their music or you don't. As for having a small show for friends, industry etc.. Nothing uncool about that. You just are not cool enough to be invited.

Posted by Anonymous | April 14, 2014 12:24 AM

There's nothing cool about a closed private party masquerading as a secret club show. There is an actual difference.

Posted by Anonymous | April 14, 2014 12:49 AM

Kurt Cobain and the Machine (TM)

Posted by Anonymous | April 15, 2014 9:33 AM

Who said it was a secret club show?

Posted by Anonymous | April 15, 2014 1:54 PM

You stupid fucking whiny kids.

Posted by Anonymous | April 15, 2014 2:36 PM

Posted by estrallaeyes | June 2, 2014 7:08 AM
