Tiny Moving Parts

Minnesota post-hardcore trio Tiny Moving Parts recently signed to Triple Crown Records (Into It. Over It., Weatherbox), who will release the J. Robbins-produced followup to their 2013 debut LP, This Couch Is Long and Full of Friendship, at some point in the near future.

While we’re still waiting on more details about that, it won’t be very long until we hear new Tiny Moving Parts music. They’re also releasing a split with Old Gray on May 20 via Kind of Like Records, Broken World Media (Derrick from TWIABP’s label) and Dog Knights (click each label link to pre-order). We’ve got the premiere of one their contributions to the split, “Fair Trade.” Like the songs on their debut LP, this one combines the passionate lyrical shouts of a band like La Dispute with noodley Kinsella-style math-emo. You can check it out for yourself by listening below.

Tiny Moving Parts begin their tour with Frameworks tonight (4/23) and after that they’ll be in the NYC-area to play day 2 (5/18) of NJ’s Skate & Surf Festival which also features Pianos Become the Teeth, United Nations and more (tickets). Then in June they’ll go on the just-announced tour with Modern Baseball, The Hotelier and Sorority Noise which hits NYC on June 5 at The Studio at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show go on sale today (4/23) at noon.

All dates are listed, with the new song stream, below…
