Upset at BV-SXSW 2014 (more by Amanda Hatfield)
Upset

Upset, whose lineup includes former Vivian Girls/Best Coast drummer Ali Koehler (on guitar/vocals) and former Hole drummer Patty Schemel (on drums), are set to tour Australia with White Lung (who have a new album on the way) in June, but before that they'll play a few US shows. One of those happens in NYC at Death by Audio on May 9, where they'll be joined by melodic punks Aye Nako and indie rockers Palehound for solid local support. $5 advanced tickets for that show are on sale now. All Upset dates are listed below.

In related news, Swearin' (whose Kyle Gilbride produced and has played in Upset) and their pals/labelmates Radiator Hospital (who share drummer Jeff Bolt and whose album was also produced by Kyle) are teaming up to play the 50th issue party for contribution-based zine The Miscreant (that new issue features Swearin') at Brooklyn's Silent Barn on May 3. Solid local support on that show comes from indie rockers LVL UP and bedroom folk singer Whatever, Dad, plus Bad Cello. The Media will be there with zines too. Show flyer below.

Stream some standout tracks from Upset, Swearin' and Radiator Hospital, with the list of Upset dates and Miscreant show flyer, below...
