Shellshag @ Baby's All Right in March (more by PSquared)

Bo Ningen

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

Bluffing, Turbosleaze, Quarterbacks, Haunted America, Psychic Book Club @ Baby's All Right
Some quality local-ish music at Baby's All Right tonight including the indie pop of Bluffing, the lo-fi bedroom songwriting of Quarterbacks, and more.

YG, DJ Mustard @ Irving Plaza
After years of releasing mixtapes, YG finally put out his proper debut album this year and it has seen him seriously rise in fame. Tonight's show isn't sold out yet, but we wouldn't be surprised if it's packed with crazed fans.

Mimicking Birds, Such Hounds, Bird Courage @ Rough Trade
Portland, OR's Mimicking Birds make dreamy, elegiac guitar pop, as can be heard on their new album, Eons, which is out May 13.

Zombie Zombie, Dinowalrus, Ancient Ocean, Glockabelle @ Glasslands
Dinowalrus have gone Big '80s on their new album, Complexion, which pulls influence from Simple Minds, The Chameleons and Echo & the Bunnymen (and maybe the Miami Vice soundtrack). Check out song "Psychic Pharmacy" below.

Worriers, Shellshag, Chumped @ Lulu's (FREE)
Lauren Denitzio (ex-The Measure [sa]) celebrates her new art book, How Do You Like What You Have, that Don Giovanni is releasing, at tonight's FREE release party. She'll have copies of the book for sale, and her current band Worriers will play, along with their DG labelmates Shellshag and local pop punks Chumped. Good bill all around.

The Bad Plus @ Jazz Standard
Going for nearly 25 years, The Bad Plus continue to straddle the line between jazz and modern rock. Their new record is an album-length recording of Stravinsky's "THe Rites of Spring." Tonight's the third evening of a four-night run at Jazz Standard, with an early and late show.

Comedy Night @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn
Big league comedy talent (Chris Rock, Louis CK, etc) show up regularly (and unannounced) for Hannibal's very popular free comedy show at Knitting Factory's front bar. Get there early.

Stanley Clarke @ Blue Note New York
Known for his innovative double bass style, Stanley Clarke has been a jazz innovator for nearly 50 years. 8 PM and 10:30 PM shows tonight.

Bo Ningen @ Rough Trade
One of the most talked-about bands at SXSW this year was Japanese band Bo Ningen, due in no small part to their wild, guitar-swinging, in-your-face shows. Experience them for yourself today at this free show. Doors at 1:30 PM with the show at 2 PM.

Alarm WIll Sound, Kaki King, Alan Pierson, Iarla O Lionaird, Jennifer Zetlan @ Carnegie Hall
The 'collected stories' series continues in Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall tonight with the Allarm Will Sound ensemble, guitar great Kaki King and more.

The Macaulay Culkin* Show w/ Chris Gethard, Manboobs, Larry Murphy, Sasheer Zamata, Shannon Coffey, Ken Freedman, Robert Ecks & more
The Macaulay Culkin Show takes over Shea Stadium tonight with Chris Gethard (who just celebrated his new Don Giovanni album earlier this month at Knitting Factory), Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Life), Larry Murphy (Bob's Burgers), and many more.

Brooklyn Zine Fest @ Brooklyn Historic Society
It's the second day of the two-day Brooklyn Zine Fest which includes 75 exhibitors and various panels.

For all of tonight's shows, and tomorrow's, check out our NYC concert calendar.

Every Sunday that unfunny Hannibal Buress show gets hyped up here. There are never any "big league" talents showing up for this. Maybe that happened a few years ago. Please stop copy pasting and posting it over and over again.

A lot of people in the music industry today are facing a lot of challenges due to competition.

Big 80's translation : "Dinowalrus failed with their previous "sound" (if you want to call it that) and are gonna add keyboards." a couple who gets a dog to save a failed marriage.
