I truly do not understand what the hype is behind HAIM. I would honestly love for someone to fill me in on what I seem to be missing. And please do keep in mind, my musical interests range from Blind Blake and Aphex Twin to Public Enemy, Led Zep, Women, Built to Spill and other random bands, many who appear on these pages. This band seems to be based on the idea of three cute sisters who make poppy music. But didn't I see the guitarist on a list of the greatest guitarists lately? Are you fucking kidding me? And, if the makers of said list felt the need to add a young, attractive, current woman to the list, they didn't think to go with, say, Annie Clark, who is innovative as hell and a fucking monster on that instrument? I don't get the band. Anyone?

@918 - HAIM is basically three cute sisters who put out a pretty darn good album. They're all likable, and have extreme marketability. Their festival shows haven't been great so far, but they're still a good band, though probably not to the levels that the hypetrain is pushing them.
