The Black Keys at Roseland Ballroom in January (more by Chad Kamenshine)
Black Keys

The Black Keys, who have a new album Turn Blue (due out 5/13 via Nonesuch) and an SNL appearance on the way, just announced a massive tour, which has them at arenas across the US and Canada from September through December. Many of the dates are with St. Vincent, but unfortunately not the NYC date happening on September 24 at Barclays Center, which is with Cage the Elephant.

Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, May 16 at 10 AM with a Citi presale starting Tuesday (5/13) at 10 AM, a Facebook presale starting Wednesday (5/14) at 10 AM, and a Live Nation presale starting Thursday (5/15) at 10 AM.

All dates are listed, with a track from the new album, below...

Black Keys announce how boring they are, then take your mom's year book to the barber and ask for those haircuts.

snarky dick backlash

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:24 AM

how in the hell does this band expect to fill Barclays? I'm still amazed that people still listen to them.

I'll listen to White Stripes instead.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:29 AM

They were good. Now they suck. I blame the music industry.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:29 AM

YES!!!

Are they going to have those cool shirts that have their name and Akron, OH on the bottom. I've seen a few people wear those and it's so awesome!!!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:31 AM

What's the matter guys, the internet doesn't like them anymore after achieving mainstream success? Pathetic.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:32 AM

These motherfuckers

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:35 AM

Haven't enjoyed them that much starting with Magic Potion but the online hatred for them by the one guy who posts over and over on here keeps me liking them.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:37 AM

This ain't your daddy's watered-down blues rock.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:42 AM

yawn, fart

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:46 AM

this show will sell the fuck out

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:50 AM

didn't jack white still their sound

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 9:53 AM

I like how everyone thinks people stopped liking them because they got big. They got big because they watered down their sound completely and put out a string of dull, lifeless records.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:00 AM

^THIS X10000000

Thank you for that.

I used to love this band. Their new album is absolutely horrible. Mainstream bullshit. They ran out of ideas.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:06 AM

We are BLUESHAMMER!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:11 AM

"how in the hell does this band expect to fill Barclays? I'm still amazed that people still listen to them."

They sold out MSG twice in 2012 so that probably explains how they expect to fill Barclays.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:28 AM

Shit, still haven't given enough of a fuck to listen to this band after all these years. My only guess is they must sound something like the White Stripes.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:36 AM

I like their first record and I like El Camino, too. I must be some kind of weirdo.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:41 AM

#yawnfart

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:47 AM

"They sold out MSG twice in 2012 so that probably explains how they expect to fill Barclays."

Sold out in the loosest form of the word. Those shows were not filled and you could not give those tickets away the day of the show

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 10:52 AM

full GA floor is for suckers

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 11:26 AM

this band has always been music for beer commercials. they got big on that sound and apparently got even worse.

and their fans are the types that have basically destroyed nyc as a cool city.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 11:41 AM

"and their fans are the types that have basically destroyed nyc as a cool city"

Oh my goodness I laughed like someone hit me with a can of smilex and the dumbness of this statement. NYC used to be so cool guys, seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 11:50 AM

^this X10 million

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 11:51 AM

I heard they're planning on bringing out Dan Aykroyd and doing Soul Man for the encore

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 11:58 AM

they're a great blues/rock band but auerbach admitted to changing their sound to appeal to a wider audience and to make more money. the change occurred right around magic potion. the new album sucks. frat boys will love it though. gotta pay the bills somehow.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 12:16 PM

Calling it now...

They're going to headline Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lolla, ACL, etc. next year

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 12:20 PM

After reading the comments above I live them more than ever.

Smell my fart...

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 12:25 PM

I like BROTHERS. El Camino was total shit.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 1:31 PM

They are so original. love em!!!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 1:55 PM

No other two piece band can sound so awesome. Name two piece bands that can sound like them, well???? EXACTLY

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 1:56 PM

white stripes, local H, lightning bolt, Gomez

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 1:56 PM

1:55 and 1:56 have really got to go back to troll school and work on their game

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 2:04 PM

>No other two piece band can sound so awesome. Name two piece bands that can sound like them, well???? EXACTLY

Unless you are speaking of two kinds of band that are spoken of as "piece", friend, you need a hyphen. As in two-piece band.

That's a beginner's mistake so pick up your fucking game.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 2:05 PM

I love this band. The best part of their upcoming Barclays show is that none of you smarmy assholes will be there!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 2:14 PM

easily the worst drummer in the biz

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 2:15 PM

156 White Stripes, yes. The other ones, not at all.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 2:16 PM

"full GA floor is for suckers"

Why?

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 3:12 PM

Dear Grammar City Boy, I notice you use semicolons. You know what Vonnegut said about semicolons? What does he know though? I mean you're the author of, "My Life As A Pussy."

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 3:42 PM

So is Cage the Elephant headlining?

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 4:02 PM

Wow they ARE Blueshammer.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 4:19 PM

The FACTS:

The first 4 Black Keys albums kick ass.

Yes their sound has changed.

They paid their dues for like 10 years. Good for them; they're making money now!

They put on an amazing live show.

1000x times better than Arcade Fire.

Not a bunch of twats like Arcade Fire

They don't use backing tacks live.

Yeah they totally suck ; )

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 6:08 PM

Sorry to break it to everybody but Frat boys don't really like Black Keys....

Frat Boys are too busy at Life in Color shows, EDM Festivals, country concerts, and Pacha

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 6:11 PM

i'd rather listen to big black

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 6:22 PM

I'd rather listen to silence.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2014 6:46 PM

608 I agree with all of your comments except "1000x times better than Arcade Fire." AC are way more interesting on record and live. Just saw them at NO Jazz Fest. Much better than any Keys show that I've seen and I am a fan of both bands.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2014 1:33 AM

@1:33

Lets be friends? Unless you're a dude and If that's the case, never-mind.

But if you're a chick, lets hang out!

Coffee date? Hummus date? Whatever you like.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2014 9:10 AM

After reading the comments above I live them more than ever.
