It took a couple tries but UK outfit Breton finally got their visas approved to tour the US, and played NYC at Glasslands on Friday (5/16). The band's second album, War Room Stories, came out back in February and is full of danceable rock not so far from Hot Chip or Foals. Did you check them out on Friday? What did you think? Opening the night were a couple of other dancey acts from around the globe. Hoodlem, from Australia, make R&B-tinged pop a la AlunaGeorge; and Ireland's Kid Karate put a big dose of big rock riffs into the evening's otherwise clubby vibe. Pictures from their sets, plus more of Breton, below...
