Chvrches @ T5 5/3/2014
Chvrches

Scottish synth trio CHVRCHES just wrapped up their sold-out, three-night stand at Terminal 5, part of the band's current tour. We were there for the second night (Saturday, May 3). Pictures from that show, including ones of opener The Range, are in this post.

If you missed them over the weekend, CHVRCHES will be back in NYC during the Northside Festival for a free show in McCarren Park on June 15. The RSVP is closed for that, but you can get in with your Northside badge (which are still available).

More pics from CHVRCHES' T5 show on Saturday, plus a video and the setlist (which appears to be about the same the whole tour) from night 1, below...

The Range - seriously boring DJ. Come on buddy but a little effort into your mixes.

I must say, The CHVRCHES crowd is the best smelling crowd I've seen a show with.

Lots of hot chicks!

how long was churches set ? couldn't have been long

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2014 1:27 PM

@1:27 IT was 12:15 AM to 1:15ish

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2014 1:28 PM

..I wasn't at this show, but most DJ's as 'opening acts' are beyond boring.

nice of them to sell t shirts for short fat chicks

@ 1:27 For the Sunday show all the signs around the place said they were going on @ 9:15 PM. They took the stage around 9:20PM, said goodnight & 10:05. Came back on for 3 songs and house lights on @ 10:15.

@1:23 Have to agree with you, I've never seen a full house listening to a dj with absolutely nobody moving / dancing through the entire set... no head bobbing, no shuffling, just completely still. Odd (and not very good).

@ 1:49 I didn't go to Coachella but most years it's sunny.

The little pixie dream girl can't sing. I don't get why they've gotten so big.

I believe in the separation of Churches and NY state and me, but this looks like a perfect time for city boyz. Get to this show city boy and you might get that pale pecker wet.

@2:23 what's the name of the crazy energetic song that the guy singer sings, it has a 'horns' chorus section. He just goes crazy while singing it?

Boring show. They just stand there.
Lots of pretty girls in the audience though.
