Leisure Birds

When not running Minneapolis label Totally Gross National Product, Jake Luck makes insterstellar psychedelic synthesizer music as part of the group Leisure Birds. The band will release their third album, Tetrahedron, on June 17 via TGNP/Moon Glyph. '70s krautrock like Hawkwind and Harmonia are obvious touchstones here and Leisure Birds seem aware than the best trips are usually danceable ones. We've got the premiere of "Miner of Light" in this post.

Album art and tracklist, plus streams of "Miner of Light" and another track off the album, below.

This sounds like which Hawkwind album exactly? I'm curious. WTF? What happened to BV?

I think that second track "Waveforms" has a definite "Assault & Battery Part I" thing going on. Your mileage may very, but I dig it.

^ you may be right. I'm not saying it's bad, either. I just think " '70s krautrock like Hawkwind... are obvious touchstones " is a bizarre statement.
