^ I think I agree. Between this album and Ought's 'More Than Any Other Day', I think 2014 will give us 2 of the best punk rock albums in a long fucking time.

"this is the greatest American punk band since the Ramones. anyone who disagrees is a loser and a moron and very, very uncoo"

this is someone who has nothing better to do all day but play video games, eat cheetohs, jerk off and make snarky comments on brooklyn vegan. anyone who agrees would be dead on right.

"Between this album and Ought's 'More Than Any Other Day', I think 2014 will give us 2 of the best punk rock albums in a long fucking time."

Right. Except for the part where neither Parquet Courts or Ought are punk rock bands.

@ 8:55 - I'm sorry you have to live in the house where Parkay Courts rehearse.

Love these guys.

bleugh... three-chord progression with a simple-minded annoying looping solo. Oh yeah, and add some "mamasita" and "ridgewood, queens" references to sound a bit different from all the other cliche crap that they sound like.

I don't know what to write so I'm giving you all a waffles recipe:
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon white sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat waffle iron. Beat eggs in large bowl with hand beater until fluffy. Beat in flour, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla, just until smooth.
Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot.

Parquet Courts do rule. I'm fine with people not getting it. Taste ain't for everybody!

I think all BV commenters should have to declare who their fav band is before posting

My Fav Band: GWAR

"Right. Except for the part where neither Parquet Courts or Ought are punk rock bands."

You're right I guess they fall more in the art-punk or post-punk category

Posted by Anonymous | May 16, 2014 12:36 PM

punk in 2014 is Parquet Courts. No one else.

Posted by Anonymous | May 16, 2014 12:58 PM

Come on people, Parquet Courts is so 2013. In 2014 its all about Perfect Pussy. Get with the times.

Posted by Anonymous | May 16, 2014 1:00 PM

All HAIM all the time.

Posted by Anonymous | May 16, 2014 1:32 PM

woah, judging by the number of positive comments about this shitty band, one could infer that Parquet Courts members, friends and family are keeping a close eye on BV's comments' section.

Nice. A bit of a gamble, but might work. Next you guys should create fake twitter accounts (you can buy them in bulk) and favorite/re-tweet all Parquet Courts posts in the hope of going viral. Reddit is a good venue too, but most users/mods will pick up on the scheme.
