New Zealand indie pop band Shocking Pinks, the project of multi-instrumentalist Nick Harte, hadn’t released an album since 2007’s Shocking Pinks on DFA (which followed multiple Flying Nun releases) but that changed this year with Guilt Mirrors, which came out via Brooklyn label Stars & Letters. If you haven’t heard that album yet you can stream it, along with a video for one of its tracks, below.

Meanwhile, Stars & Letters label head Mark Roberts (also from New Zealand, but now living in Brooklyn) has his own band We Are Temporary, who plan to release their debut album, Gemini, on the label later this year. You can get a taste of that album by streaming its new single, “Machine Love” (feat. labelmate Misfit Mod), below. We Are Temporary also make their live debut on June 2 at Glasslands with Glass Elephant, Boulevards and Shapes On Tape. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
