The Orwells w/ a fan in Chicago in April (more by James Richards IV)
Orwells

Chicago garage rockers The Orwells have a new album due out this year. It's called Disgraceland, will be out on June 3 via Canvasback/Atlantic, and includes production by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, Chris Coady (Beach House, Grizzly Bear), and Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Bombay Bicycle Club). Get a taste of the album with the videos for "Let It Burn" and "The Righteous One," along with the artwork and tracklist, below.

The band will also be supporting it on a tour with Skaters later this year. That tour kicks off in September and hits NYC on October 15 at Irving Plaza. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (5/16) at 10 AM with Live Nation/Music Geeks (password: musicgeeks) presales starting Thursday (5/15) at 10 AM. All dates, including an Asbury Lanes show, are listed below.

The Orwells will be in NYC much sooner than that Irving Plaza show though. Around the time their record comes out, they'll celebrate with an in-store at Rough Trade on June 9 at 7 PM. To get in, you have to buy the album from Rough Trade between June 3 and June 9 to receive a wirstband for entry.

All dates are listed, with the videos and LP info, below...
