TWIABP @ NYU's Strawberry Festival - 5/9/14
The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die isn't really a band with a clear frontman or a standout member. Several of the band's many members take on vocal duties, and their whole sound is really a pretty communal thing. Now you can hear what one of the band's singers, David Bello, sounds like on his own, as he'll release a new solo EP, Tires, next week (5/20) via Man of 1000 Masks.
The new single, "Burn Up In A Car," is an acoustic emo campfire song that should appeal to anyone who liked TWIABP's softer moments like "Gig Life" or other acoustic emo singalongs like Brand New's "Soco Amaretto Lime" -- a band whose early stuff is hard not to think of when David sings "And I hope you burn up in that fucking car / And I hope when you crash you had your seatbelt on, now you can't get out of it." The song premieres in this post and can be listened to below.
