Alkaine Trio

Alkaline Trio have announced that they'll play their entire eight-album discography across four nights in LA, Chicago, and NYC each this fall. The NYC shows will happen on October 21, 22, 23 & 24 at Music Hall of Williamsburg, a much smaller space than their last NYC show. Tickets for those shows go on sale Thursday (6/19) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (6/18) at noon. All dates, including Riot Fest Toronto, are listed below.

Though they're not telling you which albums are which night, it should be a fun thing whichever one you're at, especially in this relatively intimate location. The band never really got bad (repetitive at worst), but I'd have my fingers crossed to hopefully end up catching one of the first three, Goddamnit (1998), Maybe I'll Catch Fire (2000), or From Here to Infirmary (2001). They're all real gems of lyrically grim melodic punk that was too moody and minor key to fit in with the pop punk boom of that era. And there's still not too much out there that sounds like them.

bald, balder, baldest

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2014 10:28 PM

that's during CMJ. Damn, it's really not looking good for the festival this year if they are giving 4 nights of a prime venue to a punk band years past their prime.

Let's not pretend the From Here to Infirmary night wouldn't be really fun. Even the Good Mourning night would be worth it.

The guy on the far right looks nothing like Hank Schrader. I could see Buster.

LOL at "The band never really got bad" -- there's a reason why they aren't announcing which albums they're doing each night...

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2014 9:38 AM

I like the way they are doing this.

Playing albums straight through, same track list, is lame.

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2014 12:07 PM

@12:07 that is exactly what they are doing, only they aren't telling you which albums they're doing on which nights.

11:26 I am crying

Ffs who cares if they are bald, they still rock and Skiba still has it #jealousmuch#fucktards!

If your not a fan, dont worry about the shows, and dont add anything more to this page. For the fans of this band, lets enjoy the variety, catchy beats, and dark tones that they have so classically provided for us for so many years. I see them each time they come to my area. Still love them and enjoy their music daily. If your not into them, move on. Thanks!

I am starting a rumor that: From Here to Infirmary and Goddamit are going to be both played on Sat. night in Chicago.
