Beirut

Beirut have international dates coming up this year, but before that they graced their current hometown of Brooklyn with a one-off Northside Festival at 50 Kent this past Saturday (6/14). NYC rap crew Ratking and Gambian Kora player Malang Jobarteh provided contrasting opening sets before Zach Condon and company played a 19-song set full of old favorites and also played a new song. Luckily it didn't rain. Pictures of the show are in this post.

We also just caught ex-Beirut member Kelly Pratt as a member of The Antlers at Rough Trade last night (6/17).
