If the advent of Katrina Ford's new band Mt Royal put any question to whether her old band Celebration were still going...they are. In fact, Celebration have signed to Bella Union who will release their new album, Albumin, on August 19. Says Ford of the new albums' title:

An albumin is the membrane inside of an egg, which is this symbol of this beautiful self-contained environment that we've created as a group...I like the play on words too, Albumin being an album
You can check out Albumin's first single "Tomorrow's Here Today" in video form below.

While no tour is in the works just yet, Celebration will play NYC's Baby's All Right on July 25. Tickets are on sale now. Their only other date at the moment is UK fest End of the Road in August.

While I never had the chance to hear the last record they did; it was on some small label. Their first two, however, were amazeballs.

first Blonde Redhead, now Celebration, 4AD are on a dropping spree!

They have not been on 4AD for a while. The album that was mentioned in 3:49's post details their last album on a smaller label. You can find it on iTunes.

Hummus is certainly not dead. It has been around for 3000 years and will forever remain like an oil stain.

7:33PM,

My sweet, darling friend. Your lovely hummus, which actually died today, can be removed as easily as an oil slick. White vinegar can take care of that quite easily. Sob away, friend. Sob away. Hummus is done.

^ you are sadly mistaken. Hummus shall soon rise again and monuments will be constructed of a chickpea upon the mountainside.

11:46 just learned how to control his gag reflex, so he's all full of himself (or should I say, full of a few other men amirite)
