Damon Albarn played "Lonely Press Play" & Blur's "This is a Low" on 'The Tonight Show' (video); NYC shows this weekend

Damon Albarn

Damon Albarn is in NYC currently, getting ready to play Governors Ball tonight (6/6) and Irving Plaza on Sunday (6/8), both part of his current tour. While here, he stopped by The Tonight Show last night to perform “Lonely Press Play” from his new solo album, as well as an old Blur nugget: the gorgeous “This is a Low” from Parklife, which turned 20 years old in April. Videos of both are in this post.

While some artists, like Jarvis Cocker, keep their solo sets free of songs from previous bands, Albarn has been peppering his sets with cuts from Gorillaz, The Good, the Bad & the Queen, and Blur. A recent setlist is below. Tickets are still available for Irving Plaza.
