Fiasco at (the old) Silent Barn in 2010 (more by Leia Jospe)

Free bi-monthly DIY music, art and fashion mag 1.21 Gigawatts will once again put on their Gigawatts Festival this summer in Bushwick. Last year's was two days, but this year's will be four days (July 17-20) and will feature over 50 bands across three venues (Radio Bushwick, Hot 97.4 and a Secret House Show). The initial lineup features a reunion set from the defunct Fiasco, Frankie Cosmos, Infinity Shred, Tonstartssbandht, Chumped, Team Spirit, CHAPPO, Ski Lodge, Slothrust, Field Mouse, Celestial Shore, Vensaire, Heliotropes, Dead Stars and Shark?. More bands TBA and tickets will go on sale soon. Initial flyer below.

Meanwhile, Shark? also open the free BV-presented Orwells show at Shea Stadium tonight (6/9).

As usual, Frankie Cosmos has plenty of dates. As do Dead Stars (including 4Knots), Tonstartssbandht, and Chumped (including Riot Fest and The Fest).

Field Mouse, who recently released an album trailer for their new LP on Topshelf (watch below), open for The Colourist on June 23 at Bowery Ballroom (tickets).
