Herzog released 'Boys,' playing two NYC shows this week and added to Northside Fest (updated dates, LP stream)

HERZOG

Cleveland band Herzog released their terrific new album, Boys, a couple weeks back. As I wrote previously, Boys is ’90s-style indie/alt rock, loaded with hooks and extremely quotable lyrics (via lyricist-in-residence Tony Vorell who doesn’t play with the band live). If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should, and you can stream the whole album below.

Herzog are in NYC this week, playing Glasslands on Wednesday (6/4) with Education Reform, Meghann Wright, and Sinaloha; and then Bowery Electric on Thursday (6/5) with Grave Pool, Shark Week, and Black Brick. If you can’t make those shows, Herzog will be here again next week for Northside Festival, playing the (deep breath) Terrorbird Media, Carpark Records, Kanine Records & InSound showcase at Cameo on June 12 with TEEN, Saint Pepsi, Las Rosas, Chandos, Dog Bite, Piers, and Valarie. Tickets for that show are on sale, or you can use your Northside badge (badge entry subject to capacity).
