J Mascis details 'Tied to a Star' LP, shares "Every Morning"; full tour announced (dates, stream)
Yesterday (6/9) we mentioned that Dinosaur Jr frontman J Mascis would be revealing a song and more details from his upcoming solo LP, Tied to a Star, today and here they are. The album will be out August 26 via Sub Pop, was recorded and produced by J himself, and features appearances by Cat Power, Mark Mulcahy, Pall Jenkins (Black Heart Procession), and Ken Mairui (Young@Heart Chorus). J’s full tour has now also been announced. As discussed, it hits NYC on October 17 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for the NYC show go on sale Friday (6/13) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (6/11) at noon.
Dino Jr also headline the free 4Knots Festival in NYC.
