Late Bloomer

North Carolina indie rockers Late Bloomer are releasing a new album, Things Change, on July 1 via Self Aware/Tor Johnson (click links for pre-orders), and now a full stream of the album is premiering in this post. The record's got hints of Dinosaur Jr, Sugar, and other melodic '80s/'90s rock. Though they often use gruffer vocals too, and one song ("Anesthesia") goes pretty far into Fugazi territory.

This sounds like Dinosaur Jr. cream pied in the Replacements butthole and then wrote the soundtrack to Empire Records.
