Midge Ure releasing new album featuring Moby, on '80s "Retro Futura" tour in August (dates / streams)

Midge Ure has done a lot of stuff in his nearly 40-year music career. He was in Rich Kids with Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, was a founding member of synthpop band Visage, spent a short time playing guitar in Thin Lizzy, co-wrote Band Aid’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas,” and, as Ultravox’s second vocalist, sang lead on “Vienna,” one of the weirder hit singles in UK Chart history (four weeks at #2 in 1980). He’s got a new solo album out August 19, titled Fragile, which features a collaboration with Moby which you can stream a bit of, along with single “Become,” below.

Right after the album’s release, Midge will play NYC’s Best Buy Theater on August 21 as part of the Retro Futura tour with Thompson Twins’ Thom Bailey, Howard Jones, China Crisis and Katrina (of The Waves fame). Tickets for that show are still available. All Midge Ure tour dates are listed below.
