La Misma at Death By Audio, 2014 (more by Amanda Hatfield)
La Misma

The NYC Latino Punk Fest will take place from August 8 to August 10 at four different venues around the New York City area: the Acheron, C-Squat, The Swamp, and 538 Johnson. The lineup is eclectic in both the genre and geographical sense. Los Angeles' Generacion Suicida play the jangly, X-esque core of their city's first wave of punks. Chicago's Sin Orden speed through a thrashcore/powerviolence strain dubbed razacore. Panama's Juventud Podrida shake the ground with metallic d-beat. Other bands include South Korea's Konorrea, Chile's Anarkia, and Mexico's Crimen. A full lineup appears below.

Two of the fest's participants, La Misma and Anasazi, will also be playing 538 Johnson on July 12 with Goosebumps, Nomad, and Gowanus Mutant Komandos. Tickets are $10 at the door. The Empty Cages Collective sponsored show will be Goosebumps' last with Ray before he moves away.

The NYC Latino Punk Fest lineup along with streams aplenty appears below.
