TV Girl

After a few singles, a mixtape and last year's Lonely Women EP, snarky popmakers TV Girl just dropped their debut album, French Exit. Like their other material, it's fizzy, girl-obsessed pop -- part '60s Phil Spector, part laptop cutup beats -- with a pleasingly bitter aftertaste. You can stream the album below, and download it for free from their Bandcamp (and order the vinyl).

TV Girl were last in NYC for CMJ 2013. No East Coast tour plans currently, but there are West Coast dates line-up. Those are listed, along with the album stream, below...

TV Girl - 2014 Tour Dates
Jul 10 - Lot 1 Cafe - Los Angeles, CA
Jul 17 - Sunset Tavern - Seattle, WA
Jul 20 - Mississippi Studios - Portland, OR
Jul 22 - The Crux - Boise, ID
Jul 23 - Kilby Court - Salt Lake City, UT
Jul 26 - South Broadway Arts District - Denver, CO

Fucking hipsters.

And give it a rest with all these all-male bands with feminine names or names that make me think a woman is/women are in it.

There are men in this band?

HAHAHAHA. The person on the left looks like a man, the one on the right looks like Pat from Saturday Night Live.

Remember the SNL skit where Harvey Keitel and Pat are stranded on a deserted island and Keitel keeps getting all these ambigous answers to his questions and comments for Pat e.g. he says she/he has a purse and Pat says "My SACK!" LOL. SNL is so weak now - pull the plug.
