Never one to go too long without a new album, Ty Segall will release a 17-track monster titled Manipulator in August via Drag City. You can hear snippets of a few of the album's songs -- including some typical Ty rippers and at least one that goes into funky krautrock territory -- in a weird, funny promotional video below.

Ty has also just announced a massive fall tour that will stop in NYC at Webster Hall on September 17 with opener Wand. Tickets for the NYC show go on sale Friday (6/13) at noon. All dates are listed, along with Manipulator album art, tracklist and video preview, below.

Wand, who open the show, are not to be confused with Wooden Wand (who sometimes goes by Wand) or the band Wand that Bowery Presents' event page links to. It's actually the LA garage rock band who feature an ex member of Pangea, and put out a split with Ty's pal Mikal Cronin (produced by Ty) this past April. You can stream that below, and keep an eye out for their upcoming full length (also produced by Ty) due later this year via In The Red.

@1:55, you can pretty much bet the farm on the fact that there will be a small show on the 16th or the 18th. Ty always does that.

My bet is on the 18th at DBA.

but i want an oompa loompa noooooooooow!

Posted by Anonymous | June 9, 2014 10:56 PM

Don't you faggots have other bands that you actually LIKE that you can talk about elsewhere? I hate almost all music, but it'd be exhausting if I took the time to register my complaints for each individual band that I don't like. 1:53PM, I'm talking to you.

Posted by Anonymous | June 9, 2014 11:44 PM

^ Oh shut up. You know the deal with BV comments.

I like Grimes. I talk about her all the time.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2014 12:23 AM

D? Suck my dick. Yeah, I know the deal with BV comments. They're almost uniformly written by childish losers (many of whom are actually still children). I should shut up about them because... that's just the way things are? Again, SUCK. MY. DICK.

Best musician out there today.. he's got the golden touch. Let's all just enjoy the ride. Keep on cranking out songs Ty - don't stop.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Grimes most certainly defines this generation. Don't deny it, you know it's true.

Hey,
That WAND link isn't the same WAND that's touring w/ TS. The L.A. Wand is a 3 piece band & the singer also plays guitar in the MEATBODIES. The record is coming out next month on TS God? record label.
duh
