Brooklyn quartet Darlings have just put the wraps on their still-untitled third album which the band recorded live. No release date yet either but you can hear the record's lovely opening track, "Centuries of Light," right now. The song makes its premiere in this post.
You can catch Darlings live when they play Death by Audio on August 1 with Roses (ex-Abe Vigoda), Future Punx and The Beds.

In related news, Darlings guitarist Maura Lynch is also currently in Beverly who play Rough Trade on August 15. Future Punx also play another show this weekend (7/19).

I'm ready to make this my subway/city-walking sound track but since there's no release date yet, I'll be at DBA on 8/1.
