Kinky Friedman lost his most recent Texas political campaign, going on "Victory Tour' anyway (dates)

Singer, songwriter, novelist, humorist, politician and former columnist for Texas Monthly, Kinky Friedman is best-known lately for his 2006 bid for the Texas Governor’s set. (He came in fourth of six, with 12% of the vote.) More recently, Friedman lost his recent run for the state’s agriculture commissioner seat (it was a very close race), but he sees the campaign as a success nonetheless. So much so he’s going on a Victory Tour where he’ll sing, tell stories and generally entertain. That tour hits NYC on August 10 at BB King’s and tickets are on sale now.
