Vashti Bunyan

Cult folk legend Vashti Bunyan announced she'd release her third and final album, Heartleap this year (10/6 via FatCat), which follows 2005's Lookaftering and 1970's Just Another Diamond Day. Unlike the last two, she self-produced this one and included some synthetic instrumentation as well. If you're wondering how that was going to turn out, from the sound of her gorgeous new single, "Across the Water," it looks like it's turning out to be pretty excellent and in line with her classic material. Listen for yourself below.

Vashti's latest offering "Heartleap" is pretty well a shoo-in for my favourite album of 2014... I should check out "where it all began" :-)
