Hundred Waters at Terminal 5 in 2013 (more by Amanda Hatfield)
100 Waters

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

Nancy Whang (The Juan Maclean/LCD Soundsystem) (DJ Set) @ Brooklyn Bowl
An integral member of LCD Soundsystem and The Juan Maclean, Nancy Whang knows how to keep a dancefloor full. Perhaps she'll drop one of the new Juan Maclean tracks from their forthcoming album.

Zongo Junction, Chicano Batman, KariKatura @ Brooklyn Night Bazaar
Brooklyn Night Bazaar offers weekends of local artisan shopping, gourmet eats, beer and wine, ping pong, black light minigolf and music all under one Greenpoint roof. Tonight's entertainment is headlined by Brooklyn afrobeat band Zongo Junction.

Hundred Waters, Mas Ysa @ Glasslands
Hundred Waters make more of their eccentric art pop on this year's excellent The Moon Rang Like A Bell, with more electronics this time around (but not like the kinds their OWSLA labelmates use).

Bubbles, VnessWolfChild, Ryan Power, Trabajo, Brian Chase, Raul de Nieves, Cloud Becomes Your Hand, Dutch E Germ, Zero to 0 (Hisham Bharoocha & Ranjit Bhatnagar) @ Knockdown Center
The Knockdown Center is throwing a closing reception for its Anxious Spaces installation, with performances by Dutch E Germ, Bubbles, Brian Chase (of Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Trabajo, VenessWolfChild, Rul de Nieves, Cloud Becomes Your Head and more. Entrance is $7-15 sliding scale.

DJ EZ, Todd Edwards, Maxmillion Dunbar, Ramona Lisa, J-Cush @ MoMA PS1
A good way to get out early for the Saturday of your July 4th Weekend is to head to MoMA PS1 for the all-day Warm Up with yet another lineup of forward thinking electronic music. The show is the NYC debut of UK garage vet DJ EZ, and also includes American house vet Todd Edwards, RVNG's Maxmillion Dunbar, Chairlift singer Caroline Polachek's solo project Ramona Lisa, and Lit City Trax's J-Cush.

DJ EZ, Kissy Sell Out @ Output's Panther Room
Keep the party going late night with DJ EZ in Output's Panther Room.

The Robert Glasper Experiment ft. Talib Kweli, Glenn Kotche (of Wilco), Aja Monet @ Prospect Park Bandshell
It's another free Celebrate Brooklyn show in Prospect Park with a very diverse lineup headlined by jazz/hip hop collective The Robert Glasper Experiment who will be joined by Brooklyn rap great Talib Kweli.

Warthog, Leather Daddy, Jock's Blood, Ajax @ Saint Vitus
It's a great punk night at Saint Vitus, headlined by former The Men member Chris Hansell's band Warthog, who recently put out an excellent 7" on Iron Lung Records.

Widowspeak, Zachary Cale @ Union Pool
Union Pool's Saturday afternoon series "Summer Thunder" is a good one this week with Widowspeak and Zachary Cale. It's free, outside, with drink specials and the taco truck in the backyard (that actually serves brunch stuff), and a pretty fun way to spend your day.

Iron Chic, Cancers, Great Thunder, Now People @ Union Pool
Later that night at Union Pool, gruff Long Island punks Iron Chic return to Brooklyn for this show which is made a great double bill by Waxahatchee/Swearin' side project Great Thunder.

Watching fireworks was really a good time tonight until these two dudes wearing above the knee shorts and loafers with no socks on showed up and started complaining about how they don't have girlfriends... They seemed like prime examples of two guys that stay at home daily and stroke their tiny dicks.

Bands usually start at union pool around three or four depending on how many bands are playing

Dearest 1:33.

As you're detailing a story from the past, it makes for fairly awkward reading for you to use "until these these dudes". Next time, leave it as "until two dudes". And in all reality, it would have been far more fucked up looking had said dude been wearing short shorts and socks with their loafers. Actually, shorts are for tiny dicks no matter what length. One more thought: you need to grasp tense. Why would you be telling a story about something that happened and use the contraction of (do not)? It should have been the contraction for (did not).

Friend, spend less time obsessing over tiny dicks. Read a grammar book.

^ you're over, circus freak. go away now.

Hahaha. You pussies are so easy to get all worked up. You make trolling far too simple.

Who's going to the Nancy Whang gig tonight? Need some people to act as "college mates I haven't seen in years" distractions so I can get away from my wife's two sisters.

I have 4 bottles of Ketamine I'm selling on the cheap too if you're interested.

I heard James Murphy is guesting tonight with Nancy. The show is actually going to be a warm-up of sorts for the low-key club tour LCD is doing later this summer. Remember, I broke this before the food blog you're reading did.

You need a comma before that master p phrase of "if you're interested.

Thanks and see you at the show.

Don't question Him on why He spends all free time on a music blog, though He hates music. It's how His message is spread.

"LOL. I love trolling hipsters and musicians on BV while mom thinks I'm sending out resumes. Suck it, we're ordering pizza."

Jersey Republicans apparently can't stop using comma splices either. #Fail

Lemme guess ... you like a nice fat sausage on your pizza, right? Thought so.

"Here is a lesson in creative writing. First rule: Do not use semicolons. They are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. All they do is show you've been to college."

-Kurt Vonnegut

Kurt Vonnegut had a tiny dick.

I liked FF/FD/GF/JR/CK better when he stayed on Gawker, where they appreciate his brand of "comedy"

Posted by Anonymous | July 6, 2014 12:59 AM

7:59 Are you sure dude? Did you take a series of measurements?

Posted by Anonymous | July 6, 2014 1:47 AM

1:45 - Back again, amateur? Your writing style is atrocious. Stick to eating big bags of cock. Best of luck in all your future endeavors.
