Camera Obscura in Central Park in 2013 (more by PSquared)
Camera Obscura

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

Camera Obscura, Laura Cantrell @ Le Poisson Rouge
Scotland's ever-charming indiepop band Camera Obscura play their first of two NYC shows with Laura Cantrell tonight. MHOW tomorrow.

Eyehategod, Iron Reagan, Vektor, Strong Intentions @ The Acheron
The mighty sludge crew Eyehategod are already back for another (very welcome) round in NYC, and making this bill even better, crossover "supergroup" Iron Reagan open.

Touche Amore, Tigers Jaw, Dads @ Revolution
Touche Amore and Tigers Jaw (who currently share a drummer) may be stylistically different bands, but they both make highly passionate music that you can relatively consider punk rock, and this double bill is sure to be an excellent one.

SZA, Cakes Da Killa, Denitia and Sene, Princess Nokia, H09909 @ Rough Trade
Tonight's AfroPunk-curated Red Bull Sound Select show features an eclectic lineup with the airy indie/R&B sounds of SZA and the wacked-out hip hop of Cakes Da Killa. Also on the bill is pop duo Denitia & Sene, Mykki Blanco collaborator Princess Nokia (aka Wavy Spice) and H09909 (who recently opened for Body Count).

White Suns, Alan Licht, Aki Onda, Lea Bertucci @ Silent Barn
Experimental metal band White Suns released the Totem LP earlier this year on The Flenser, the label which can always be trusted for forward-thinking dark music, and Totem is no exception.

Puss N Boots, Van Hayride @ The Bell House
The country trio of Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper have been playing live since 2008 but just now released their debut album. No Fools, No Fun. Tonight's the record release show.

Nick Turner, Todd Barry, Brooks Wheelan, Jason Saenz, Nick Vatterott, Steve O'Brien, The Undone Sweaters @ Union Hall
Tonight's edition of Nick Turner & Acquaintances features Todd Barry, Brooks Wheelan, Jason Saenz, Nick Vatterott, Steve O'Brien, and The Undone Sweaters.

Seth Herzog's SWEET @ The Slipper Room
Seth Herzog's longrunning comedy show tonight features the Lucas Brothers, John Milhiser, Nate Craig and Dennie & Sharp.

Zach Deputy @ Hudson Square Music & Wine Festival
The Hudson Square Music & Wine Festival brings free music every Tuesday this summer from 5 to 7:30 PM in the parking lot behind City Winery.

This is one of my fave cd's. Every song is tinged with a hint of melancholy but makes me feel so happy. I never get tired of it.
