San Diego's Capsize make melodic hardcore in a style not unlike Comeback Kid or Defeater, favoring thick distorted guitars over the atmospheric elements that many of the newer bands in this genre have taken on. Their new album, The Angst In My Veins, comes out September 30 via Equal Vision (pre-order), a label that's been responsible for plenty of excellent hardcore in this vein over the years (Converge, Give Up the Ghost, etc). It follows a 2013 EP, and on the difference between the two releases, vocalist Daniel Wand says, "Our last EP really showed the darkest side of our band, which carries into the new album also, but we wanted to give people a taste of the album that is on the opposite side of that, to show how versatile our writing has become." The LP's first single, "This Song Made Me Think Of You," makes its premiere in this post and can be streamed below.

The band also have several tour dates coming up, but nothing in the NYC-area (they played Long Island on a recent tour though). All of those dates are listed, with the new song stream, below...

There's a cool picture on their Facebook of one of these douches fake-hanging himself with a noose of some sort. Totally classy.

First post must be an overly sensitive dad. I love how dark this band is and how good this song is.

Third post must be a tortured kid whose parents don't give him enough money to buy the coolest clothes.

Third post must be an overly insensitive ass who doesn't get that that pic could be considered mocking black people being hanged.

Third post must also be an overly insensitive ass who doesn't get that that pic could be considered mocking people who commit suicide by hanging including Robin Williams.
